When you live the apartment lifestyle at Montrose Square apartments in Fort Wayne, IN, you have lots of extra time to enjoy each month with your family. We never want to hear you saying “but there’s nothing to do in Fort Wayne,” because that’s simply not the case.
Let’s just start with some of the things going on today, but don’t worry if you miss it, there are more of these events coming this summer. Something brand new for the Fort is the Living Fort Wayne Concert Series, offering free family friendly concerts on the first Wednesday evening of each month this summer in Headwater’s Park, downtown. Wednesday of this week, the entertainment starts at 5pm and continues until 9pm. Several of the Fort’s favorite food trucks will be on hand, and J.K. O’Donnell’s will be hosting a beer tent for adults with a one dollar admission charge. Next concerts are July 2, then August 6.
Another place to enjoy free music with the family every Friday night all summer long is at the fountain in The Jefferson Point Shopping Center, this week featuring the Junk Yard Band. The free series continues through September 5th.
There are some not free concerts of note this week as well, with Grammy Award winner Anthony Hamilton at the Embassy Thursday, June 5th. And The Guess Who perform at the Foellinger Theatre on Friday June 6th part of a summer long series of outdoor concerts.
Here’s an event just down the road from your Montrose Square home at IPFW. It’s the 4th annual Eurofest “A Gathering of European Cars” at IPFW on Sunday, June 8th. Come by and check out the Mercedes, Audis and Jags on display. Learn more by clicking here.
Another free family event this week is Canal Days in New Haven. This annual celebration runs Wednesday through Saturday this week in Schnelker Park in Downtown New Haven, IN.
There is plenty more family fun going on in June, so check back here in a couple of days for more things to do in Fort Wayne during June.
