Take a Walk Through the Botanical Conservatory
Spend your Valentines Day weekend walking hand-in-hand through the Botanical Conservatory with your special someone. Their Sweetheart Orchid Display runs February 7-26 and features a heart-shaped planter with a cascade of red “valentine” orchids. The wonderful scenery of the Conservatory makes the perfect setting for a romantic stroll, a first date, or even a surprise proposal!
Paint a Picture
Bottle & Bottega is hosting some great events on February 14th. Enjoy a 4-course prime rib dinner then head over to the painting area where they’ll walk you and your date through the painting of a romantic Parisian image. Or, if prime rib’s not for you, light up the night Illumin-Art where you’ll paint a picture of the Eiffel Tower then string rice lights through it to let your work shine! Check out all of the great events our sign up for these on their website.
Wine and Dine
OK, yes, we did say we’d be giving you ideas besides dinner. But, this is a little different! Country Heritage Winery and Vineyard is hosting a romantic night of food, music, and wine. Enjoy a 6-course meal from Club Soda accompanied by wine sample pairings and light music by Ron Rumbaugh. There will also be some great door prizes.
Try to Escape
If you haven’t tried the escape rooms now’s the time. Fort Wayne Escape Room and Room to Escape will lock you and your date in one of their themed rooms. Search for clues to try to escape before the time is up. Although, a little alone time might be good, so don’t work too fast!
However, dinner and a movie are always a popluar date night for a reason! Sometimes the best date is a night spent in. Cook a special dinner, play some music, then curl up with a romantic movie.
Hopefully, we’ve given you some great ideas of some wonderful ways you can spend your Valentines Day, right here in Fort Wayne! Let us know what you plan on doing in the comments below.
