Wow – it seems like October flew right by! What an awesome month! We hope you had a great October; we sure did! But don’t settle in just yet because the month of November is going to just as jam-packed full of awesome events. We’ve put together a list of some of the best activities going on around Fort Wayne this month.


Holiday Open House at Satek Winery – The Holidays are right around the corner, and what better gift than a bottle of delicious, local wine. The whole weekend of November 18-20, join Satek Winery in Fremont, Indiana for a weekend of wine tastings, exclusive recipes and great discounts on merchandise.

Botanical Conservatory Presents: Garden in Lights – Each winter, the Botanical Conservatory is transformed into a winter wonderland of beautiful lights, wintery evergreen trees, poinsettias and more. Don’t miss this lovely sight taking place every day from Thanksgiving, into January.

Night of Lights 2016 – The Annual Downtown Lighting Ceremony is a Fort Wayne Favorite Tradition! November 23, come visit Downtown Fort Wayne as it is lit up with lots of beautiful holiday lights! There will also be plenty of free entertainment for the whole family! Make this a part of your family’s holiday tradition!


Festival of Trees – Don’t miss the Embassy Theatre’s 32nd Annual Festival of Trees. Come see one of the largest exhibits of Christmas trees of all shapes and sizes. The Festival of Trees is certainly a Fort Wayne favorite holiday tradition, plus all proceeds go to help restoring and operating the historic Embassy Theatre. The Festival of Trees begins on November 23, and will run until January.


I Love the 90s Tour – November 3, the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum will be hosting the I Love the 90s Tour. This tour is packed with your favorite icons from the 90s, including Vanilla Ice, Tone Loc, Coolio, Salt & Pepa, and more! Don’t miss out on this awesome throwback of an evening.

The Goo Goo Dolls – November 10, the Embassy Theatre is excited to host the multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated band, Goo Goo Dolls. Since 1986, Goo Goo Dolls have sold more than 12 million albums with hits like “Slide,” “Iris,” and “Name.” This is certainly going to be a night to remember!

For the Family

Old Fort Cluster Dog Show – The Northeastern Indiana Kennel Club will be putting on a FREE dog show at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum the weekend of November 3-6. Bring the whole family out for a fun day of events such as Obedience Trials, Rally Trials, and Best in Show! This event is absolutely FREE but pet food donations are greatly appreciated and will be donated to the Community Harvest Food Bank.

Fort Wayne Civic Theatre Presents: A Christmas Carol – Visit the Fort Wayne Civic Theatre and get in the Holiday spirit with A Christmas Carol, November 5-20. You’ll hear the classic tale of Ebenezer Scrooge as he goes on an adventure through Christmas Past, Present, and Future.

Disney Live: Mickey and Minnie’s Doorway to Magic – November 5, the Memorial Coliseum will be hosting a magical evening some of your favorite Disney stars! Join Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, and more as they take you on a journey to a magical world!

Fort Wayne Indoor Farmer’s Market – Every Saturday in November, bring the whole family out to the biggest indoor farmer’s market in the area. This indoor market will be held in the Lincoln Financial Event Center, away from the elements! (Just off the ballpark’s right field concourse.)

Jefferson Pointe’s Tree Lighting Ceremony – On Saturday, November 12, bring the whole family out to Jefferson Pointe for the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. There will be plenty of awesome activities for the whole family including live Reindeer, a visit from Santa, live music brought to you by School of Rock, and of course the beautiful lighting of the Christmas Tree.

Headwaters Park Ice Skating Rink – With the Holidays fast approaching, Ice Skating at Headwaters Park is right around the corner. Each winter, Headwaters Park is transformed into a wonderful ice rink. Make it part of your holiday tradition this year. Keep an eye on their Facebook page for an opening date.

Holly Trolley Shopping 2016 – Speaking of the Holidays, what better time to knock out some Christmas shopping while seeing the beautiful, historic downtown Fort Wayne. On November 26, come on out to Downtown Fort Wayne and take part in some of the best shopping experiences in Fort Wayne. There will be a FREE trolley taking you to all of the best hotspots downtown! Come out early, first riders will receive a FREE Holly Trolley tote bag.

Sporting Events & Races

Fort Wayne Komets vs. Indy Fuel – November means Hockey is back, baby! Friday, November 4, join our Fort Wayne Komets as they take on the Indy Fuel. As always, there will be plenty of hockey action, great food, Icy the Eagle, and plenty of fun for the whole family! Check out the Komets’ entire schedule at their website.

5K Conservation Run – Saturday, November 5, bring your running shoes to the Conservation Club’s 5K Run. This 5K Trail will weave in and out of the beautiful grounds surrounding the Southwest Conservation Club. Visit their website to register.

Veteran’s Day 5K – Join us on November 12, as we honor the US Veterans in our community with a 5K Run/Walk. This 5K will be held on the Rivergreenway at 10 AM. All veterans and active military receive ½ off the entry fee. For more information and registration, visit their website.

Mad Ants vs. Sioux Falls Skyforce – On November 20, join our own Fort Wayne Mad Ants for their season opener as they face off against the Sioux Falls Skyforce. If you’ve never been to a Mad Ants game, you’re missing out on one of the most exciting events Fort Wayne has to offer! Check out their full schedule.

Galloping Gobbler Thanksgiving Day Run – The Galloping Gobbler is an awesome new Fort Wayne tradition. Taking place on Thanksgiving Morning, November 24, the Galloping Gobbler will feature over 400 runners, a live turkey, a turkey mascot and more! Register online.
